自十八世纪以来，国际佛教学术界努力探究印度佛教发生分裂以前的「原始佛法」，经两百年的接续努力，佛教学术界取得众多可贵的发现。自2002年起，随佛长老（Ven. Vūpasama Thero）接续两百年来学术界的研究，经过16年的努力，2018年完成了「原始佛法」的探究，恢复了佛教分裂以前的经法传承。
中道僧团的宗旨，是信仰「第一次经典结集」的原始佛法，守护佛教分裂以前的经典传诵，全力传承 释迦佛陀亲传的「原始佛法」，奉行已经流传两千多年的比丘、比丘尼僧律传承。
中道僧团的目标，是推展原始佛教的教法，建立原始佛教的比丘僧团、比丘尼僧团传承，利益社会的健全与发展，兴隆佛教。
目前中道僧团发展于台湾、中国大陆、马来西亚、新加坡、美国的华人社会。
Principle and Aim
Since the 18th century, the international Buddhist academia strived to explore the Original Dharma of Indian primitive Buddhism. After two hundred years of continuous efforts, the Buddhist academic community has made many valuable discoveries. Since 2002, Ven. Vūpasama Thero has continued the long-lasting study of the Buddhist academia. In 2018, after 16 years of hard work, he completed the exploration of the Original Dharma, and restored the inheritance of Dharma prior to the division of Buddhism.
The principle of Sambodhi Saṅgha is to believe and practice the Original Dharma collected in the first Buddhist council, protect the scriptures prior to the division of Buddhism, inherit the original teachings of Buddha Śākyamuni, and preserve the Bhikkhu and Bhikkhunī Vinaya lineage that has been lasting for over two thousand years.
The aim of Sambodhi Saṅgha is to promote the Original Dharma, establish the inheritance of Original Buddhism Saṅgha of both Bhikkhu and Bhikkhunī, benefit the improvement and development of the society, and prosper the Buddhism.
Currently, Sambodhi Saṅgha have spread throughout the Chinese communities in Taiwan, mainland China, Malaysia, Singapore and the United States.
